All of these are understatements for this magnificent award-winning program from the Adelaide Senior team.

Their Short program “Aranjuez Ma Pensée”, brings the elegance of the Royal Ballet, with the power of Amici’s voices together with the brilliance of Australia’s finest Skaters.

The Stage is set as the lush curtain rises, revealing the enchanting visions of the skaters in all their beauty.

What captivates the audience more is when they move with such a gentle flow that progresses into a powerful block and step sequence which enthrals a charismatic view.

The synchronized spin is like watching a flock of swans soaring through the sky, gentle, yet powerful.

Their extensions are as beautifully places like an arabesque angle reaching for the sky.

The Block signals the end of the aria but their spirit forever lives within your soul as you can not forget the sight of enchanting elegance that is, Aranjuez Ma Pensée.

Senior Long Program.

I was five and he was six…

We rode on horses made of sticks…

He wore black and I wore white…

He would always win the fight…

Bang bang…

My baby shot me down…

Well now it’s the Bride’s turn to fight back.

And she is going to KILL BILL…

Not even the Deadly Viper Assassin Squad can stop the senior team’s Long Program. The skaters take their stance preparing for a fight to the death.

The light gleams of the Hatori Hanso Sword that has the name of the man who did her wrong… Bill.

Like a skilful and agile fight, the skaters charge into their program with gusto and artistic flare that unfolds into a dramatic display Dangerously high extensions and chilling intersections that cut through the ice with razor sharp precision.

The music takes a dramatic turn into the world of organised crime and dirty deeds. The Godfather reigns supreme, as the skaters take out his work in the sheer thrill of the mafia underworld.

Their wheels turn like that of the get away car as they show off their amazing talents and explosive elements that, despite the cold, leave the audience melting.

Like a game of poker you have no idea what hand they will deal out next, watching them is like playing Russian roulette, tension sets in with every breathtaking stunt hey pull of with effortless extravagance.

An awe-inspiring performance from an exceptional team of Australia’s finest Figure Skaters.

Adelaide Icicle Magic

Mulan

The sun rises over the battlefield as the troops make their stance on the land they fought to the death for.

Only courage stands between them and victory.

Adelaide Icicle Magic’s program to Mulan shows the true captivation and courage that lies in the heart of this famous Japanese warrior. But where did it all begin?

Standing in the famous rising sun formation the team express the beauty that once overran Mulan.

But all is lost when her father is summoned to fight in the war over the land.

Un-able to see her father die under the power of someone else, Mulan takes his place secretly.

Torn from her family by her dedication to her family, she adorns the role of the brave warrior, all the while her heart never resting.

As the battle spreads over the fields, the Block sequence takes form, charging the battlegrounds and showing the sheer strength and power of the Emperor’s Army.

Then like the swirling winds of Japan their spins take the form of the fireworks that explode over the sky to celebrate Victory for the land.

But Mulan has her own battle, a battle for her love. Will she fall in love with the man she lied to for so long?

Either way, the Novice team, like Mulan, will return home Victorious and Heroes.

The sun will never go down on these amazing people

Elvis

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Elvis never left the building!

The Adelaide Adult level Synchronized team “Enve” have brought him back to life with their amazing and thrilling new program. And just like Elvis, they will not let anyone stop them strutting their stuff.

Like a lonely stage they stand, awaiting the cue from the audience.

Then with a sudden burst of rock and roll they charge full swing into their exciting program.

Block sequences as secure as the guards escorting the King himself amongst the crowds.

Throwing their extensions like the raised arms of his screaming fans,

And twirling about the ice like the jitterbugging swinging dancers that are enthralled by his power and music.

But the curtain must fall eventually, signifying that the show is near an end.

But worry not, because after watching Enve skate their program, the image of brilliance will forever be burned into your mind just how they burn the ice with their hot moves that could make Elvis’s knees shake.

Short program

For All Seasons—Yanni

We take our stance like a beam of light from the sun, strong and powerful. Then like the swirling wind we move our wheel across the ice like a tornado is forming.

 As the leaves fall gracefully from the braches, we glide along the ice mimicking their descent to the ground. Like the blazing sun we shine in our hearts to the beautiful score of Yanni, For All Seasons.

 Like the crashing waves that brought down the mystical ruins of Atlantis, we intersect across the ice leaving a powerful ambiance wherever we skate.

 Then as if gliding through the clear waters of Greece our flowing movements accent our intricate footwork like the cracks in the ice of the frozen lakes.

 Our block is like the wind, fast and ferocious. Moving ever so swiftly, passionately, and fierce. Though always keeping the grace of the changing seasons.

 But from the frost of the ice come the superb pull-backs and Choctaws like flowers growing exuberantly through the ice. Although some may prefer a stroll in the garden….. nothing beats our demonstration of the ever-changing beauty that is, “For All Seasons”.

Long Program

VAN HELSING 

The Clouds move across the sky to black out any remaining light. A distant rumble of thunder looms in the night as a flash of lighting streaks across the sky. These are the tell tale signs that the Vampires are Coming.

The skaters take their stance like a powerful crossbow aimed at the ice cold heart of Dracular, who’s spirit with in us over powers the opening block sequence.

Twisting around the ice like the dark streets of Transylvania. We move seamlessly with powerful intersections and extensions as high as the dark towers.

The movements in isolation is like the vampires thriving for blood as the two spiraling lines surround the layback spinners like a vortex of fear and hope that the fearless vampire slayer will come to the rescue.

Our moving key unlocks the door to the All Hallows Carousel, winding and twisting the spiders web of time. Our block soars gracefully like Bats in flight and to the peaceful overture of Van Helsings love for Anna.

We finish our program with a final battle between Dracular and Van Helsing.. The Score builds as in a Vivacious Crescendo with the orchestra almost screaming its notes to the sky and the slayers slash their way across the rink through the ferocious vampires towards victory.

The ice may melt from the fire in our eyes but it will always remain frozen by the cold heart of Dracular……..

Peter Pan—James Newton Howard 

Fairy Chimes sing through the forest as the two lines of Angels take a graceful pose.

The overture starts and so does the Magic of Adelaide Icicle Magic’s Novice Program.

Like tinkerbell fleeting through Neverland, we skate majestically, floating, soaring and ‘heart-lifting”.

But all is not peaceful in Neverland, for the Heinous Captain Hook Roams the waters with his gang of blood thirsty pirates.

But will the haunting chime of the clocks keep him at bay?

A change of scenery as the doorway of the grand chapeau open to reveal the magic of the living china dolls that enchant even the most coldest places.

The fairy's come alive with the mystical movements in isolation with their amazing flying camels as fairy’s flying around the moving double wheel resembling the pirate ship that brought them to Neverland, more angelic skaters fly around the ship with the biellman glides returning them to Neverland forever….
